Mi TV sticks all set to launch with built-in Google Assistant and Chromecast, Xiaomi teased the launch date of Mi TV stick in India on August 5 on their official Instagram and Twitter account. The full-HD streaming device runs on Android TV 9 Pie and it also includes support of popular streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, games and social media services.
Mi TV stick specifications
Mi TV stick is able to stream the videos at up to full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution at 60Fps (Frame per second). The TV stick also comes with the support of The Google Play store that allows users to download and install over 5,000 apps and games available on the platform. The Mi TV Stick is powered by a quad-core CPU coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage. In terms of graphics, It is also equipped with ARM Mali-450 GPU.
As mentioned earlier, it runs on Android TV 9 Pie and also includes support of popular streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. The device comes with a Bluetooth remote that supports voice commands through Google Assistant, as well as Chromecast for use with supported devices. It also comes with Dolby and DTS surround sound support
Xiaomi has not confirmed the pricing of Mi TV stick for India. Earlier this month, Xiaomi has already introduced a TV stick in Europe at EUR 39.99 (around Rs. 3,500) to compete with Amazon Fire TV stick. Mi TV 4K stick already launched in India in may at Rs 3,500. So, it is believed that the price of the stick would be lesser than the 4K stick. What are your thoughts on Mi TV stick?
