Maruti Suzuki Swift: 40,000 bookings in 1 month, new Maruti Swift shakes the car market

Last month, Maruti Suzuki launched a new version of one of the most popular hatchbacks in India, the Swift. From design to features, the car has a lot of upgrades. The popularity was such that the car received over 40,000 bookings within a month. Parth Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer (Marketing & Sales) of Maruti Suzuki India (Maruti Suzuki India) recently told a press. Even last month, Maruti sold 19,393 Swifts. Due to which it has been named as the company's best selling model.

Maruti Suzuki Swift bookings set a new record

Banerjee said the fourth generation Maruti Suzuki Swift will arrive only in petrol version. And with more than 40,000 bookings, it can be said that it has received a huge response from the buyers. The company estimates that the number of people interested in booking will further increase if the CNG variant of the car is launched in the future.

According to the company, the demand for the manual variant of the new Maruti Swift is the highest. Over 83 percent of the bookings received are from manual models. The rest of the buyers have shown interest in buying the automatic variant of the car. Again 50 percent of the bookings went to the mid-spec VXi variant.

Incidentally, the price of the new generation Maruti Suzuki Swift starts at Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom). While its top-end variant is priced at Rs 9.64 lakh (ex-showroom). The car's 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine produces a maximum power of 80 bhp and 112 Nm of torque. The company claims that the mileage is 25.72 km per liter. Let us know that Maruti has recently announced a price cut of Rs 5,000 for all its AGS or Auto Gear Shift models.
