Huawei Nova 13 series coming with dual selfie camera and 66W fast charging, will have XMAGE technology

Huawei is soon going to launch their next generation Huawei Nova 13 series of smartphones. Speculations have already started in tech circles about the devices in this lineup. And now a new Huawei phone has recently appeared on the 3C (CCC) certification platform in China, which is believed to be part of the Huawei Nova 13 series. Let's see what the certification listing reveals about the handset.

The Huawei Nova 13 series phones got 3C certification

A Huawei phone with model number PSD-AL00 has appeared on the China Compulsory Certification Platform, revealing that the smartphone will support 66W fast charging technology. Although the listing doesn't reveal anything else, well-known tipster Digital Chat Station has already revealed some important information about the phone. It will reportedly be a model in the Huawei Nova 13 series, and all devices in the lineup will feature the company's own 5G-enabled Kirin processor. Among them, Huawei Nova 13 Ultra will be the most expensive model of the series.

An earlier report suggested that the phones in the Huawei Nova 13 lineup will be powered by the Kirin 9010 processor. Digital Chat Station also said that the chipset supports 5G connectivity. Incidentally, Huawei's latest flagship models, the Huawei Pura 70, Pura 70 Pro, Pura 70 Pro Plus and Pura 70 Ultra – all run on the new Kirin 9010 chipset.

Also, the Huawei Nova 13 Pro and Huawei Nova 13 Ultra models are rumored to include Huawei's XMAGE imaging technology, which is currently limited to flagship Pura and Mate series phones. The entire Huawei Nova 13 series may also support 1.5K resolution and is expected to offer an improved selfie photography experience, as it is expected to feature dual front-facing cameras.

In terms of software, the phones in the Huawei Nova 13 lineup are expected to run on the HarmonyOS NEXT operating system. This OS will likely make its debut with the Huawei Mate 70 series of smartphones. The arrival of the HarmonyOS Next software version is a big deal for Huawei devices, as it has been completely decoupled from the Android app department. The tech company is working together with leading companies in China to develop native apps for the platform, and the HarmoniOS Next operating system already has over 4,000 native apps.
