Therefore, the special edition Thar car has brought out the natural beauty of the desert. It uses Desert Fury Satin Matte paint scheme. The LX hard top 4×4 system will be available in four variants of the Earth Edition. Prices range from Rs 15.40 lakh to a maximum of Rs 17.60 lakh (ex-showroom).
Mahindra Thar Earth Edition: Design
First of all, talking about the design, the design of the Third Earth Edition has been kept exactly the same as the other editions. This special edition model in Desert Fury Satin Matte color has sandblasted rear fenders and doors. The B-pillar has Earth Edition badging. 17-inch silver alloy wheels take the design to another level.
Mahindra Thar Earth Edition: Interior Design
The interior color theme of this SUV is dual tone. The headrest parts of the seat have a Dune design with light beige color using black base. On the inside, the Thar logo is visible on the door. It is surrounded by dark chrome accents. Additionally, the AC vents, center console and steering wheel have Desert Fury paintwork. Mahindra also said that each vehicle will be uniquely numbered on a handcrafted VIN plate. Apart from all this, customers can also get separately customized front and rear armrests, floor mats, comfort kits etc. as additional accessories.
Mahindra Thar Earth Edition: Engine
Thar has always been on top of customers’ list of choice for off-road adventure. It is the performance that has put it at the peak of popularity. The engine specifications of Mahindra Thar Earth Edition remain unchanged like other models. Customers will get petrol and diesel engine options.
On the one hand, there is a 2.2-liter four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine. It can produce a maximum power of 130 PS and 300 Nm of torque. On the other hand, there is the 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, with power and torque outputs of 150 PS and 320 Nm respectively. A six-speed manual and six-speed torque converter automatic transmission system is available with both the engines.
