Mahindra Thar 5-door is all set to launch in the Indian lifestyle SUV market. For a long time, Mahindra has been making headlines for making five-door hatchbacks. Although the launch date of the car has not been announced by the company, various reports claim that it will enter the Indian market on Independence Day this year i.e. August 15. Mahindra Thar 5-door can see several new design elements. Like new front grille, LED fog lamps, LED headlights, DRLs, updated alloy wheels, re-designed tail lights and new color options. Speculations are rife that it might come with an exclusive hardtop.

The cabin of the five-door Mahindra Thar can be seen with a dual-tone interior theme. Other notable features include a larger touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, front row armrests, leather-wrapped steering wheel with mounted controls and circular AC vents.
Mahindra Thar 5-door – Powertrain
Talking about the powertrain, Mahindra Thar 5-door is expected to use the same engine as the three-door model. It is offered with 2.2 liter diesel and 2.0 liter turbo petrol engines. The former produces 130 bhp of power and 300 Nm of torque. While the latter has an output of 152 bhp and 320 Nm.
Mahindra Thar 5-door – Probable Price
The Mahindra Thar 5-door is expected to be priced between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom) after the launch. The five-door model will slot between the Thar 3-door and the XUV700 in the company's lineup.
