Kawasaki Ninja 400 was great supersports bike. It was brought in to replace the Ninja 300 in the market. But the localization of the Ninja 300 means that the company is able to keep the price competitive due to the manufacturing of various parts in this country. Where as Ninja 400 was imported and sold from abroad, it cost more to buy. Due to which even today the demand of Ninja 300 is seen to increase, but the sales of Ninja 400 have come to the bottom. So Kawasaki discontinued the Ninja 400 and stopped selling the bike.

After the Kawasaki Ninja 500, the report claims that the company may launch the Ninja 500 SE. It will be more attractive in terms of design. Because the model comes with Kawasaki's signature green color and a state-of-the-art TFT display. It is speculated that localization may start soon instead of importing fully manufactured tax from abroad. In that case the price will come down a lot.
