Redmi 13 4G may break all sales records, 108MP camera will take best photos

Rumors have been rife for months that Redmi is gearing up to launch an affordable 4G smartphone under its Number series. Even about a month and a half ago, the specifications of the Redmi 13 4G phone were also leaked online. And now a new report has revealed several other details, including the official renders and pricing of the device, which indicates that the smartphone will hit the market soon. Let's find out what the upcoming Redmi 13 4G phone is going to offer.

The design and price of the Redmi 13 4G phone have been leaked

According to a report by 91Mobiles, the design of the Redmi 13 phone will be similar to its predecessor, the Redmi 12 model. In fact, these two devices are expected to be largely identical. For performance, the Redmi 13 phone is expected to feature the MediaTek Helio G88 processor, codenamed MT6768. Again, the newly launched MediaTek Helio G91 chip could also be used in it. However, both the Helio G91 and Helio G88 chips are almost identical and the latest processor does not offer any significant upgrade. Hence, the Redmi 13 is expected to perform similarly to the Redmi 12 handset.

Apart from the processor, the Redmi 13 will offer minor improvements over its predecessor in terms of display, camera and fast charging. And in terms of photography, the new model will come with a new 108-megapixel camera sensor compared to the 50-megapixel camera of the Redmi 12 phone. This camera sensor is expected to take good pictures in well-lit environments, but night photography won't see much improvement.

Note that the Redmi 13 is rumored to come in two variants, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. The base variant is expected to be priced at 199 Euros (roughly Rs. 18,000) in the global market, while the top-end model of the Redmi 13 smartphone can be priced at 229 Euros (roughly Rs. 20,700). There is no other information available about Redmi's upcoming 4G handset at the moment. The previous generation Redmi 12 set sales records, making the device extremely popular especially among Indian buyers. Whether the Redmi 13 follows the same path remains to be seen.
