Jio data plan cheaper than Airtel despite price hike, how much to pay for how many GB of data

Airtel and Reliance Jio have hiked the prices of their prepaid and postpaid plans. The new prices will be effective from July 3. Both companies have hiked the price of their popular prepaid plans by up to Rs 600. Both Airtel and Jio's Rs 2999 plan will now require a recharge of Rs 3599. Apart from this, both the companies have also increased the prices of their data add-on packs. Let's take a look at Airtel or Jio, whose data plan is cheaper despite the price hike.

Airtel vs Jio: Who is offering cheap 1GB data after price hike?

Airtel's Rs 19 data pack is now priced at Rs 22 after a Rs 3 increase. In this pack customers will get 1 GB data for 1 day. That is, if your data is exhausted, then you will have to spend 22 rupees to buy 1 GB data.

On the other hand, the new price of Jio's 1 GB data pack has been Rs. 19. Earlier its price was Rs 15 which means it has become expensive by Rs 4. That is, Jio's 1GB data pack is cheaper than Airtel's despite being Rs.4 expensive.

Airtel vs Jio 2GB Data Pack Price

Now Airtel users have to spend 33 rupees if they want 2 GB data. Because the price of Rs 29 data pack has now been increased by Rs 4 to Rs 33. It will provide 2 GB data for 1 day. At the same time, Jio is offering 2GB data at Rs 29 to its customers, which was earlier priced at Rs 25.

Jio and Airtel new data plan prices

Airtel also has a new data pack for Rs 77, which offers 4GB data with base plan validity. The price of this plan was Rs 65 before which means the pack has become Rs 12 more expensive than before. On the other hand, Jio has introduced a new data pack of Rs 69, which offers 6GB data with the validity of the base plan.
