Internet: Now in India more than 93 million people are stuck in the Internet! The village is not far behind

Internet Users in India: Internet has become a big part of people's lives in India in the last decade. Whether for work or idleness, for entertainment – every moment without high-speed Internet is like an unsalted curry. It is precisely because of this that the digital revolution in India has been successful and shows no sign of stopping now. Yes, the number of internet users in the country is increasing and the digital medium is being used for many purposes. The latest report of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India i.e. TRAI recently revealed such sensational information.

Internet is the life partner of billions of Indians

According to the latest report of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, 936.16 million Indians used the Internet at the end of December 2023. In just three months, the number of internet users has increased by almost 2 percent. Among them, the maximum number of mobile data or mobile wireless internet users is 897.59 million. On the other hand, the number of wired (wired) broadband users is also increasing – in this case the connection figure is 38.57 million.

According to the regulator, the number of broadband users has increased the most in Halfil. The total number of broadband internet users increased by 2% over the previous quarter to 904.54 million. Although narrowband connections stuck to older technologies fell by 31.6 million, they did not meet expectations for high-speed data plans.

Surprisingly, this growing demand is not limited to urban areas. Although cities have millions of Internet subscribers, rural India accounted for over 44 percent of the country's total telephone user base at the end of the year. According to TRAI's report, 527.77 million rural residents were connected to digital life, with overall rural tele-density reaching around 59 percent.

It may be noted that earlier in February a report came out, which had information about how Indians are using the Internet. At the time, the Internet and Mobile Association of India and Kantar reported that 86 percent of Indian internet users subscribed to services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Spotify. Enjoying OTT video and audio streaming services. In this case, almost half of the total digital entertainment customers are from rural areas. That is, the village means that today is not just a path of mud, there is no doubt!
