The Realme GT Neo 6 has been rumored in tech circles for months now and is all set to hit the market this week. Ahead of the launch, now Realme's Vice President and President of Global Marketing Xu Ki Chase revealed some impressive performance metrics of the Realme GT Neo 6 through his social media account. The new phone is said to be capable enough to handle a graphics-demanding game like Honor of Kings at 120 frames per second (fps) without overheating. Let's get into this in detail.
Realme GT Neo 6 will match the phone with impressive gaming performance
Xu Qi Chase shared a post on his Weibo (Chinese microblogging site) account and said that the gaming experience of the upcoming GT Neo series phone is going to be very different this time. He claims that the Realme GT Neo 6 is capable of running the Honor of Kings game with ultimate picture quality without any issues. It has an average frame rate of 120.1 at 120 frames per second (fps) and the phone reached a temperature of 43.0 degrees Celsius, which is reasonably good considering the 120 fps output of this game.
Meanwhile, the phone with the 60 FPS setting reportedly reached a slightly lower 42.5 degrees after an hour of gaming with the same image quality. In this case the average frame rate is 59.85. Joo Ki also talked about the game's improved light and shadow effects in his post. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 processor actually supports real-time hardware-accelerated ray tracing.
In a separate Weibo post, Vice President Ju Ki Chase also mentioned that the phone will be able to play the game Genshin Impact at 1.5K resolution. The Realme GT Neo 6 is said to be launched on May 9, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. This new chip is made up of one Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.0GHz, four Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 2.8GHz and three energy-efficient Cortex-A520 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. For graphics, it has Adreno 735 GPU. And to keep the phone cool, the Realme GT Neo 6 is equipped with a 10,014 square millimeter vapor cooling chamber.
Along with the new chip, the Realme GT Neo 6 phone will offer an ultra-bright 8T LTPO display, which will reach up to 6,000 nits of brightness. For power backup, the phone will have a 5,500mAh battery, which supports 120W charging.
