2024 didn't go too badly for Hyundai. The South Korean company is buoyed by positive results in the country's sluggish car market. Hyundai sold a total of 6,05,433 vehicles in India last year. Of that, 55,078 units were sold in December. 1,56,686 cars were produced and exported in the country. Of this, December exports were 12,870 units.
Creta is the best seller. The car has gained immense popularity in the SUV segment in India. Hyundai has sold 1,86,919 units of Creta in the domestic market in 2024. Tarun Garg, director and chief operating officer of the company, said the highest domestic sales of SUVs (67.6 per cent) will be in 2024.
Besides, the Hy-CNG Duo technology has helped the company grow its CNG vehicles. CNG vehicles account for 13.1 percent of total sales in 2024, up from 10.4 percent in 2023. The company has announced several new cars to maintain this trend in 2025. One of these is the electric version of the Hyundai Creta.
When will the Hyundai Creta EV arrive?
In this regard, Hyundai may launch the EV version of Creta very soon. The car will be unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Show this month. Although similar to the petrol model in many places, the company can surprise in features, engine and exterior design. Hyundai aims to create a distinct identity for this car. Range can be obtained from 430 to 502 km.
The Hyundai Creta EV is going to hit the market with multiple features including Advanced Driver Assistant System (ADAS), 360 degree camera, bunch of tech features, USB charging, advanced battery management system.
