After the recharge price hike in July, many users started switching to BSNL for cheaper recharge plans. To counter that, major telecom companies like Jio, Airtel and Vi announced budget-friendly recharge plans for customers. If you have an Airtel SIM then a recharge plan can be beneficial for you. It costs Rs.219. You will also get Rs 5 talk time and 3GB data.
Airtel's Rs 219 recharge plan
This prepaid plan is priced at Rs.219. Will get 30 days validity. Special benefits include unlimited voice calling, 300 free SMS and 3GB data for the entire month. One of the nice features of this plan is that it comes with Rs 5 talk time. This talktime can be used once your 3GB data usage is over.
After the data is exhausted, you will be charged 50 paisa for the additional MB you use. This plan is special because you get to use talktime for data when needed. It can also be recharged from Airtel Thanks app or other online payment apps.
Incidentally, recently the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued a notice to mobile users across the country. There are warnings about scams related to free recharge offers. Fraudsters are sending fraudulent SMS messages impersonating TRAI. The authorities have clarified that they have never issued such an offer.
