Currently, the demand for Royal Enfield Hunter 350 in the neo-retro motorcycle market is sky high. Honda may come up with a new model to compete with this bike. Although the Japanese company has not opened up about it, the patent of one of their new bikes has fueled the speculation. While the name of the new model is unknown, the design is believed to be based on the Hornet 2.0.
Honda's new bike design leaked
Honda's upcoming bikes like the Hornet 2.0 model are spotted with inverted forks, alloy wheels, and petal type disc brakes with Nissin calipers. Similarly, the patent image bears resemblance to the Hornet 2.0 powered by a single cylinder, air-cooled engine and single downtube chassis 184 cc engine.
Another interesting thing is that if you look closely, you can find the similarity of the crankcase of this bike with the CB290R sold outside India. Although based on the platform of Hornet 2.0 or CB190R, the design of Honda's new bike is quite attractive. It has round split LED headlamps with small round turn blinkers and a small instrument cluster.
Honda's main objective behind launching this motorcycle is to take on the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 in the neo-retro segment. The price of the new bike is expected to start from Rs 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom). However, nothing can be said about the exact launch date.
