Hero MotoCorp has officially launched the new version of Xtreme 160R 4V in India after two consecutive weeks of teasers. The new motorcycle will be available in three variants – Standard, Connected and Pro. The first two are priced at Tk 1,27,300 and Tk 1,32,800 (ex-showroom) respectively. And the most advanced Pro variant will be priced at Tk 1,36,500 (ex-showroom).
Hero Xtreme 160R 4V launched in India
Hero Extreme 160R 4V rivals Bajaj Pulsar N160, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Bajaj Pulsar NS160 in India. Bookings for the bike start today and deliveries will begin from the second week of July. The biggest updates to the 2023 model include a more powerful engine and improved hardware. Upgraded from two-valve, it now comes with four-valve. So 4V is written next to the engine.
Hero Xtreme 160R 4V: Engine
The efficiency of the new engine is higher than before. The bike’s 163 cc powertrain will produce 16.6 bhp and 14.5 Nm of torque at 8,500 rpm. Power is 1.7 bhp higher than the two-valve version. Comes with five speed gearbox. Hero claims the new version of the Xtreme 160R 4V is the lightest oil-cooled bike and the fastest 160cc motorcycle in India.

Other notable updates include an upside down front fork. Until now it ran on telescopic forks. The addition of the USD unit will further improve the ride quality. But at the back, preload-adjustable shock absorbers are provided as before. Braking duties are handled by a choice of 276 mm petal discs at the front and 220 mm petal discs at the rear or 130 mm drum brakes. The 17-inch alloy wheels are fitted with 100/80 section front and 140/70 section tubeless tires at the rear.

The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V features newly designed LED headlamps with LED DRLs, advanced digital instrument cluster and Hero Connect 2.0 technology with class leading features. It can be chosen in three different color options – Matte Slate Black, Neon Night Star and Blazing Sports Red. Again, Hero is offering multiple accessories on the motorcycle.
