Xiaomi has organized a global launch event for their flagship Xiaomi 14 series on February 25 during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. It was initially thought that the brand will launch Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro under this series in the global market. However, a recent teaser has hinted at the launch of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra model along with the standard version at the event And now the global variant of the standard Xiaomi 14 has been spotted in EMVCo’s database with some key specifications. Xiaomi 14 gets EMVCo approval
According to EMVCO certification, the global version of Xiaomi 14 will run on Android 14-based HyperOS 1.0 operating system and will support Near Field Communication (NFC). Let us know that HyperOS is Xiaomi’s new operating system, which has already won praise from users. This OS replaces MIUI and is based on the latest Android 14.
Although, the certification doesn’t reveal anything more about the Xiaomi 14, the global model is expected to have the same specifications and features as the Chinese version, namely a 6.36-inch 1.5K TCL CLOT C8 OLED 12-bit display, which It will support 120 Hz refresh rate and 3,000 nits peak brightness. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
In terms of photography, the camera setup of the Xiaomi 14 to be launched globally may include a 50-megapixel LYT-900 primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50-megapixel JN1 ultrawide camera and a 50-megapixel telephoto JN1 camera. And for selfies, it will feature a 32-megapixel front camera. For power backup, the Xiaomi 14 will have a 4,610mAh battery, which will support 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
