A new Vivo smartphone with model number V2342 has been listed in the database of benchmarking site Geekbench today. From here, it is reported that the upcoming handset will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 chipset. Which means it will support LTE connectivity. Apart from this, information about its RAM and operating system version has also been revealed.

Incidentally, a new device with the same model number i.e. V2342 in Halfil also received clearance from the Bluetooth SIG certification site. The site shows the upcoming phone as – Vivo V30 Lite / Vivo Y100.

This Vivo branded smartphone scored 478 points in the single-core round of the Geekbench 6 benchmarking test and scored 1,543 points in the multi-core test. According to the listing, the upcoming handset will be powered by an octa-core processor codenamed ‘Bangla’. This chipset will support 4+4 core configuration and Adren GPU. Based on this information, it was believed that the device might have Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 or Snapdragon 685 SoC. However, it was later revealed that the performance core of this processor will have a clock frequency of 2.80 GHz. Which confirmed that the phone will use Qualcomm Snapdragon 685.

Note that Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 is an improved version of Snapdragon 680. It has been used in several mid-range handsets, such as – Redmi Note 13, Realme C67, and Redmi Note 12. Therefore Vivo model may also be mid-range.

Let’s get back to the topic. The benchmarking site’s listing also revealed that the upcoming Vivo V30 Lite / Y100 phone will come pre-loaded with 8GB RAM and the latest Android 14 operating system.

Vivo V30 Lite 5G debuted in the Mexican market a few months ago. Apart from this handset, there are currently two more models under the Vivo V30 series – Vivo V30 and Vivo V30 Pro. Hence the Vivo V30 Lite (4G variant), is going to be launched as the fourth model in the Vivo V30 lineup.
