Thinking about the masses, Vivo is bringing a cheap phone, which may have a 50MP camera

Vivo Y28s 5G smartphone is going to hit the market very soon Vivo's Y series handsets basically offer a bunch of attractive specifications at a low price. Vivo is also going to include the upcoming phone in the entry-level device segment. And now the Vivo Y28s 5G model has been spotted on multiple certification platforms including CQC, which points to its upcoming launch. This upcoming phone is going to be the successor of the standard Vivo Y28 phone. Let's find out what information has surfaced about the upcoming handset so far.

Vivo Y28s 5G is going to hit the market soon

Vivo Y28S 5G phone with model number “V2346” has appeared in an online database. While no information has emerged from the listing about its specifications, the phone's CQC certification confirms that it will have 15W charging support. It matches the charging speed of its predecessor, the Vivo Y28S 5G phone. It is believed that Vivo will not have much in common with the new phone compared to the standard Vivo Y28 model. The Vivo Y28 falls under the brand's Y series, which is known for its entry-level specifications. The price of the phone in India starts from just Rs 13,999.

As mentioned earlier, the Vivo Y28S 5G phone is receiving platform approval from China Quality Certification Center. While the certification site does not mention the name of the device, another database claims the V2346 model number to be associated with the Vivo Y28S 5G handset. The phone is expected to debut in China first, as the phone has first appeared on the Chinese CEQC website. However, there is still uncertainty about its availability in other countries' markets. It is expected that the details will be known in the coming days.

However, the Vivo Y28s 5G phone is not expected to bring significant improvements over the standard model. The charging speed of both the phones is similar. However, similar charging speed does not mean that they will be clones of each other. As such, the Vivo Y20 and Y20s models both have the same charging speed and battery capacity, but they offer different chipsets. However, the upcoming Vivo Y28s 5G is expected to offer similar features as the base model.

Incidentally, the Vivo Y28 is an entry-level phone, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset. The handset comes in 4GB/8GB RAM options and both variants come with a 128GB UFS 2.2 storage unit. The phone has an IPS LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate.

For photography, the Vivo Y28 features a dual-camera setup on the rear panel with a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera. And the 8 megapixel selfie camera is located in front of the phone. However, the phone only supports video recording of 1,080 pixels at 30 frames per second (FPS). Finally, the Vivo Y28 phone packs a 5,000 battery with 15W wired charging support.
