Vivo recently announced that they will be launching their much-awaited S17 series smartphones in China on May 31. The lineup will reportedly include a standard and pro variant. Among them, the Vivo S17 Pro was spotted on the Geekbench database last week. And now, the standard Vivo S17 has appeared on this benchmarking platform and revealed various specifications.
Vivo S17 spotted on Geekbench
Vivo S17 with model number V2283A has been listed on Geekbench benchmarking platform. The listing revealed that the phone will use a motherboard codenamed ‘Lahana’, which consists of four cores clocked at 1.8GHz, three cores running at 2.4GHz and a primary core clocked at 2.52GHz. These data correspond to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G+ chipset.
Also according to the benchmarking platform, the Vivo S17 model will offer 12GB of RAM. However, more configurations may come to the market at the time of launch. The upcoming phone will run on Android 13 operating system. In terms of benchmark results, the Vivo S17 scored 817 and 2,607 points in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. But apart from these, no additional information is known from the Geekbench database.
However, according to recent reports, the Vivo S17 will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone will house an optical image stabilization (OIS)-enabled 50-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. For power backup, the standard Vivo S17 model is said to support 66W or 80W fast charging.
On the other hand, the Vivo S17 Pro is confirmed to feature a 50-megapixel selfie camera with dual soft LEDs and a 2x portrait lens at the back. The price and all the features of Vivo S17 series will be known in detail on the launch day next Wednesday.
