Tech giant Apple is expected to launch its next generation iPhone series iPhone 15 in September this year too. In this case, like its predecessor, a total of 4 models are going to debut under the upcoming lineup, namely – iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Various information has already surfaced about each of the mentioned models. And today, another important information about the possible features of the 15th iPhone series came to light. According to a latest report by ITHome, each phone in the iPhone 15 series will offer better battery capacity and battery life than its predecessor.
The Apple iPhone 15 series will offer better battery life than the iPhone 14 lineup
According to a report provided by iHome, the standard model of the series i.e. iPhone 15 (iPhone 15) will have a capacity of 3,877 mAh, which will be about 18% larger than the predecessor iPhone 14 (iPhone 14). Again, the iPhone 15 Pro Max model can offer a battery capacity of 4,825 mAh, which is about 12% more than its predecessor. Again quoting a statement from an official of Foxconn, one of Apple’s main supporting manufacturing companies, the report claims that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Plus models have 3,650 and 4, respectively. There will be a battery of 912 mAh capacity.
Besides, the ‘Pro’ models of the iPhone 15 series are also known to have a USB Type-C charging port. However, both the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models will likely be launched with Lightning charging ports.
Meanwhile, iHome also mentioned in their latest report that both the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models will have 256 GB of storage in the base variants. Which means, the standard and ‘Plus’ models of the series will only be available with 128GB storage options. Again, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to use the older generation A16 Bionic chipset. In contrast, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models will be announced with the latest A17 Bionic processor.
Also, some recent reports claim that the Apple iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will be launched with a new green color option. However, the ‘Pro’ models will not be available in the mentioned colours. But while not available in green color, the Cupertino-based tech giant is speculated to unveil the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max in a new Crimson Red color.
Upgradation will also be seen in the camera department. For example, the Apple iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models are said to have the same 48-megapixel camera setup as the older generation iPhone 14 series. Again the use of a periscope lens with improved zoom capabilities is also heard. We’ve also learned that the ‘Pro’ phone will offer a dual-titanium chassis and solid-state haptic and mute buttons.
