Samsung is currently said to be working on its next generation Galaxy Fan Edition (FE) smartphone. However, it was initially rumored that no new FE variant of the Galaxy S flagship series will be launched this year. Because, the company did not launch the Galaxy S22 FE under the S22 lineup and the last launch of the series was the Galaxy S21 FE in 2022. But now a report has shared important information about the Samsung Galaxy S23 launch. Let us know about it in detail.
Samsung Galaxy S23 FE launch timeline revealed
Samsung is said to launch the Galaxy S23 FE in the third quarter of this year. It is coming to the market a bit earlier than the earlier claimed launch timeline. A new report from SamMobile claims that the company will launch its much-hyped smartphone in select markets. However, the report did not name those countries. The Galaxy S23 FE is initially said to hit the global market in the third or fourth quarter of this year. After that, the launch of the device will continue in different markets in the first quarter of next year as well. Since the report did not name specific markets, it is difficult to say when the smartphone will make its debut in India.
Samsung Galaxy S23 FE Specifications (Probable)
The biggest highlight of the leaked Samsung Galaxy S23 FE specification list is that it will come with an in-house Exynos 2200 processor and AMD-powered Xclipse 920 GPU in all markets. But considering the launch of Galaxy S23 series flagship phones with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset last February, this decision is quite surprising. Incidentally, despite the Exynos variants failing to impress customers during the launch of the Galaxy S22 series last year, it is still unknown why the South Korean company chose their in-house chip for the upcoming FE model.
Besides, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE model is expected to come in 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options. The phone is said to offer an upgraded camera setup. It will have a rear camera unit with a 50-megapixel primary sensor. It’s the same camera sensor used in the Samsung Galaxy S22 series and the Galaxy S23 lineup without the Ultra model. For power backup, the Galaxy S23 FE is said to have a 4,500mAh battery, which can support 25W fast charging.
