Xiaomi is reportedly gearing up to launch a new budget range smartphone, called the Redmi 12. It may debut in the market next week. A few weeks ago, this device was spotted in the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification database with the model number 23053RN02L. Recently, the Redmi 12 was listed on Xiaomi’s official website in Portugal. A few weeks ago, a report claimed that Redmi’s new affordable phone will be launched globally on June 2. However, this did not actually happen. But now a reliable tipster has revealed the sale date and price of the Redmi 12. Let’s take a look at them.

Redmi 12 Probable Price and Availability

Redmi 12 price and availability details have surfaced in a joint effort by tipster Pers Googlani and publication NewsOnly. According to reports, the handset will be priced at $155 (roughly Rs. 12,790) in the US. This is probably the price of the base variant of the phone with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. According to the tipster, the Redmi 12 could be available for sale in the next 10 days. The tipster also said that the Redmi 12 will be launched in three color options – Blue, Black and Silver. The official marketing names for these color variants will be Sky Blue, Midnight Black and Polar Silver.

On the official website of Xiaomi Portugal Redmi 12– has been listed. According to the listing, the phone will feature a 6.79-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, offering a FullHD+ resolution of 1,080 × 2,400 pixels and a punch-hole notch. This Redmi smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 processor, which will be paired with a maximum of 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. For security, the phone will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and will run on Android 13 based MIUI 14 user interface.

For photography, Redmi 12It will feature a triple-rear camera setup comprising of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with LED flash, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel third sensor. And an 8 megapixel selfie camera can be seen in front of the phone. For power backup, Redmi 12 has a 5,000 mAh battery which will support 18W fast charging. Also, the connectivity options of the Redmi 12 will include dual-SIM, 4G, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and GLONASS. Finally, the Redmi 12 measures 168.60 × 76.28 × 8.17 mm and weighs around 198.5 grams.
