On May 25th, the mid-range Xiaomi Civi 3 smartphone made its debut in the Chinese market. And today, on May 29th, tech brand Xiaomi announced the launch of a special limited edition of this new model to celebrate 100 years of entertainment giant Disney. In this regard, it has been informed by the company that in collaboration with Disney, they are going to unveil the new handset named Xiaomi Civi 3 100th Anniversary Edition in the first week of June.
Notably, the Xiaomi Civi 3 model comes with an elegant design and four attractive color options – Rose Purple, Mint Green, Adventure Gold and Coconut Ash. However, Xiaomi has not yet revealed anything about the design or color variant of the same phone i.e. Xiaomi Civi 3 100th Anniversary Edition. However, it is believed that the device will offer specially designed custom themed user interface. Besides, the retail box of the phone clearly indicates that this limited edition model will be inspired by our all favorite Disney character ‘Mickey Mouse’.
Incidentally, the user interface (UI) design of the 100th Disney Anniversary Edition of the Xiaomi CV3 smartphone has been brought forward by the famous tipster Kacper Skrzypek. He confirmed that the design of both the exterior and user interface of the upcoming phone will be based on the all-time popular Disney character Mickey Mouse. In this regard, apart from the custom paint job and Disney-themed custom OS skin of the Xiaomi CV3 100th Anniversary Edition, all other specifications are likely to be kept similar to the regular model.
Specifications and Features of Xiaomi Civi 3
The new Xiaomi CV3 smartphone features a 6.55-inch Full HD Plus OLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, supports 120Hz refresh rate, 1,500 nits peak brightness, DCI-P3 color gamut and HDR10+ technology. The device comes with MediaTek Dimension 8200 Ultra octa-core processor built on 4nm processing node and Mali-G610 GPU to deliver enhanced performance. It will have a maximum of 16 GB of RAM and 1 terabyte of storage. In terms of software, the phone runs on MIUI 14 (MIUI 14) custom user interface based on Android 13.
For photography and videography, the Xiaomi Civi 3 phone features a triple rear camera setup. These are – 50-megapixel Sony IMX800 primary sensor with f/1.77 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS) support, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and 2-megapixel macro shooter. And between the pill-shaped cutouts on top of the device’s display – a dual front camera unit with a 32-megapixel primary selfie sensor with f/2.0 aperture and autofocus and a 32-megapixel secondary selfie shooter. Incidentally, the phone’s front and rear cameras are capable of recording 4K (4K) videos at a rate of 30fps.
Connectivity options on the Xiaomi-branded handset include – 5G, 4G, dual-SIM card slot, NFC, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.3, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and a USB Type-C port. It will get an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. The device also comes with Dolby Atmos support and Hi-Res Wireless Audio certification for improved audio. Finally for power backup, the Xiaomi Civi 3 smartphone has a 4,500mAh capacity battery with 67W fast charging support.
