Special measures to keep the phone cool, iQOO is placing the cooling system over a large area

The much-awaited performance-focused iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G smartphone is all set to launch in India on February 22. Although the company has already confirmed several specifications of the device, some details are still left to be known. Recently, Nipun Maria, the CEO of iQOO’s Indian arm, took to social media to confirm that the iQOO Neo 9 Pro is going to come with the biggest heat dissipation system seen on the company’s Neo-branded phones so far.

Details of iQOO Neo 9 Pro’s heat dissipation system

In a post from his X (earlier known as Twitter) handle, Ico India Chief Executive Officer Nipun Maria confirmed that the vapor chamber cooling unit in the Ico Neo 9 Pro will have a surface area of 6,043 square millimeters. It promises significantly improved thermal control over last year’s iCo Neo 7 Pro. Because the predecessor came to the market with a 4,013 square millimeter vapor chamber unit. Incidentally, the heat dissipation system of this year’s Neo 9 Pro will exceed the previous one by 167 percent, which is larger than the model found in the previous generation iCo Neo 6 Pro.

It is estimated that the iCoa Neo 9 Pro will be priced at Rs 37,999 in India. This price may be for the base model, which will offer 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The higher variant will have 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered phone will offer LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. It is said to run on Android 14 based FunTouch OS 14 custom skin.

Besides, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro will have a 6.78-inch AMOLED display, which will offer 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The rear will have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX920 primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) support, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and an LED flash. And for selfies and video calls, a 16-megapixel camera can be found in front of the phone. Besides, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro may feature an under-display fingerprint scanner, Q1 supercomputing chip and an IR blaster.
