Sony Xperia: Sony is bringing a new phone after a long time, there will be special features for the convenience of users

Sony usually launches its flagship Sony Xperia 1 series of smartphones in the second quarter of every year. As a result, Xperia 1 VI or Xperia 1 Mark 6 is expected to hit the market within the next few months. Before that, however, various interesting information about the device has started to surface. Now the measurements of the Xperia 1 VI have been revealed courtesy of a tipster.

Xperia 1 VI’s measurements are up front

Tipster Jacobs had earlier mentioned that the Sony Xperia 1 VI will have a 2K display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 instead of a 4K display with a 21:9 aspect ratio like its predecessor. Incidentally, Sony has been offering high-resolution tall displays on their flagships, matching the widescreen format used in many movies. It provides users with an immersive viewing experience.

However, this aspect ratio also has some drawbacks, one of which is the presence of letterboxing in most apps and videos. This means black bars appear at the top and bottom of the device when playing a video or app, since most videos and apps are optimized for a 19:9 aspect ratio, which doesn’t match 21:9. So it is believed that the brand is probably trying to make the upcoming Xperia flagships more attractive to the common users with this change.

The tipster has now revealed that the Xperia 1 VI phone will measure 162 x 74.4 x 8.45 mm overall, while the display will measure 149.6 x 69.4 mm. That is, compared to the predecessor’s measurements of 165 x 71 x 8.3 mm, it will be 3 mm shorter, 3.4 mm wider and 0.15 mm thicker. Although the Xperia 1 VI is moving towards a more conventional design, Sony has confirmed that it will still have a 3.5mm jack. This is a feature that is rarely seen in modern flagship smartphones.
