ZTE has launched their first flagship phone of the year, the ZTE Axon 60 Ultra. Like the Axon 50 Ultra released last year, it also offers satellite connectivity. The smartphone has a special emphasis on security and the company claims that it is the world’s first secure mobile phone. Let’s know the specifications, features and price of ZTE Axon 60 Ultra in detail.
ZTE Axon 60 Ultra launched with dual satellite connectivity
The ZTE Axon 60 Ultra supports “ZTE Hongyu Satellite Communication Technology” and offers dual satellite connectivity. Hence, it will enable live voice calls and two-way text messaging without network or tower. The phone has eight in-built 5G antennas and comes with an adaptive multi-antenna switching algorithm. The phone also has an in-built security chip and its operating system is based on a “dual-system” architecture.
This dual-system architecture provides the ability to select between two different modes – user mode and kernel mode. User mode allows applications to run with limited access to system resources, whereas kernel mode gives the operating system unlimited access to hardware resources. As a result, the protection of the phone is ensured.
Talking about other specifications, the ZTE Axon 60 Ultra has a 1.5K resolution and 6.78 inch 120 Hz OLED (OLED) display on the front. This SGS low blue-light certified panel offers a pixel density of 452 ppi, up from last year’s 395 ppi.
For performance, the ZTE Axon 60 Ultra uses the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. And for power backup, it houses a massive 6,000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. Besides, the phone offers Near Field Communication (NFC) and Infrared sensor. Axon 60 Ultra comes with IP68 dust and water-resistant build.
Also for photography, the ZTE Axon 60 Ultra houses a 50-megapixel triple camera setup with optical image stabilization (OIS) on the back and a 32-megapixel selfie camera on the front. However, nothing has been announced about the price of ZTE Axon 60 Ultra yet.
