Xiaomi’s sub-brand has completed the launch of its latest Redmi Note 12 series of devices and is now said to have started working on its successor, the Redmi Note 13 series. The new mid-range lineup is likely to launch in China this year and several reports suggest that the Note 13 series phones will run on the upcoming MIUI 15 software version. Although nothing is known about the series yet, a mysterious Redmi phone as well as a Redmi Note 13 lineup of handsets have now been spotted on Europe’s EEC certification site. The Redmi Note 13 series smartphone has received EEC certification
According to a new report by Tech Outlook, a Redmi smartphone with model number 2312DRAABG has been listed on the European Economic Community (EEC) certification website. Earlier the phone also appeared in the IMEI database with the same model number, which suggests that the model number belongs to the Redmi Note 13 series of smartphones. However, it is still unclear whether it is the standard or one of the Pro phones. An unknown Redmi phone with model number 23090RA98G has also been spotted on EEC. Whether this is another Note 13 series phone is not yet known, but it remains a possibility. Its name may become public in the future when more certification sites appear.
As usual, the EEC certification list did not reveal any important information other than the model numbers of the two phones. Although a lot of information about the Redmi Note 13 lineup has started leaking lately, it is expected that more details will surface in the coming days, which will give a clear idea about the upcoming series of phones.
So far, it has been reported that the Redmi Note 13 series handsets will run on Android-based MIUI 15 software version. This upcoming custom skin will be based on either Android 13 or Android 14 operating system. Reports claim that the upcoming phones will feature a 6.7-inch centered punch-hole OLED (OLED) display. The smartphone panels will be missing plastic brackets like premium smartphones and the phones’ displays will be surrounded by slim bezels. There is currently no information available about the launch date of the Redmi Note 13 series. However, a Chinese tipster indicated that the phones will be launched in the second half of this year.
