Xiaomi is soon going to launch the next generation number series of smartphones under its Redmi brand. The new Redmi 13 has been tested by the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and naturally, the phone is eagerly awaited by the company’s fans. The Redmi 12 series was a huge success, so expectations are high around the Redmi 13. Now an online report has revealed some important information about what the Redmi 13 will look like.
Redmi 13 is coming soon
Redmi 13 is going to be an affordable phone from Xiaomi. Redmi fans were expecting some upgrades from it like a better chip and a better camera. But the Redmi 13 is expected to be similar to its predecessor, the Redmi 12. As reported by Android Headlines, it is confirmed to feature the MediaTek Helio G88 chipset.
Internally, the Redmi 13 carries the “Moon” codename with the “N19A/C/E/L” model number. Incidentally, the Redmi 12 had the model number “M19A”, thus following such a pattern. Redmi 13 will be sold in global markets including India. On the other hand, Redmi 13 has model numbers 2404ARN45A, 2404ARN45I, 24040RN64Y and 24049RN28L. Among “2404ARN45A” and “2404ARN45I”
Model numbers indicate where the phone will be sold Again, some versions of the Redmi 13 will have Near Field Communication (NFC), and others won’t. For example, “24040RN64Y” is the global variant with NFC, whereas “2404ARN45A” will not have NFC. The “2404ARN45I” model number indicates the model will come to India, as it has the letter “I” at the end. And “24049RN28L” will be for Latin America.
Notably, Xiaomi is also planning to launch the Poco M6 phone under its Poco sub-brand, which will be essentially the same as the Redmi 13. Poco M6 will be available in global market and Indian market. Both the phones will run on the same software and come with minor differences like design changes. The Redmi 13 is expected to offer the same experience as the Redmi 12. It will run on Android 14-based HyperOS 1.0 custom skin.
