Oppo is gearing up to launch a new smartphone under its K-series in the market, which is called Oppo K12. Recently, the chipset name of the upcoming phone has been revealed. And now some more important information about Oppo K12 has been leaked. Sources claim that OnePlus is going to launch a new handset with the same features.
A tipster on Chinese micro-blogging website, Weibo, claims that the Oppo K12 will feature a flat display and right-angle (flat) frame. That means they will be similar to its predecessor, the Oppo K11. Also, according to the tipster, it will support 100W wired charging and have the flagship camera sensor. These specifications are also similar to its predecessor.
The source also revealed that the phone will be powered by a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 7-series chip. However, tipster Digital Chat Station had previously specified that it will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. That is, the only major upgrade to the Oppo K12 will be the ‘chipset’. Again, the upgrade can be seen in the primary camera as well. Finally, the Chinese tipster claims that the device will cost around 2,000 yuan (about Rs. 23,100), just like its predecessor.
The tipster also mentioned that a OnePlus smartphone with the same specifications will also be launched. Since, the Oppo K11 was launched as the OnePlus Nord CE 3 outside of China, the Oppo K12 is likely to be rebranded as the OnePlus Nord CE 4 in the global market.
