The camera will just amaze! Oppo Reno 12 will take the entry with Sony’s custom sensor

After the Oppo Reno 11 series, it is the turn of the Reno 12 series to launch. Already several information about the devices of this lineup have been leaked online. And now it is known, the phones of the Reno 12 lineup will have a custom Sony (Sony) sensor, whose camera quality will be quite high compared to the Reno 11 series. Let’s see what information has come out about the new sensor of the Oppo Reno 12 series.

Oppo Reno 12 series will have specially customized Sony sensor

A Chinese tipster claims that Oppo is working on a customized Sony lens for its Reno 12 series. This lens will likely be used on the main camera. The inclusion of the sensor could see a huge improvement in photography in the smartphone

Incidentally, the Oppo Reno 11 Pro uses a Sony IMX890 primary lens with optical image stabilization (OIS). And the upcoming Reno 12 series could feature a custom Sony lens based on the LYT 900 sensor. However, the tipster has not revealed any more details about the camera sensors of the upcoming series of smartphones.

Oppo Reno 12 Series Specifications (Expected)

The Oppo Reno 12 Pro is rumored to feature a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel primary lens with optical image stabilization, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 50-megapixel third lens with 2x optical zoom support. It may also offer a 50-megapixel selfie camera with support for autofocus. The standard Oppo Reno 12 is likely to have a similar camera setup. However, the selfie camera of the base model may not support autofocus functionality.

In terms of other specifications, internal documents have revealed that Oppo will launch the Reno 12 Pro model with the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 processor. This chipset will be paired with a maximum of 12GB of RAM and 512GB of in-built storage. Notably, the Dimensity 9200 chipset is a huge upgrade over the Dimensity 8200 processor used in the existing Reno 11 Pro smartphone. However, the Chinese version of the phone may be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and come with a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
