Motorola launches G53j/G53Y smartphone, affordable 50MP dual camera, 120hz display

Motorola today quietly launched the Motorola Moto G53j smartphone in Japan. At the same time the brand announced the launch of another model called Moto G53y. However, there is no difference between the two handsets except for the letters at the end (j and y) of the names. Motorola G53j’s Y! The network variant is the Moto G53y. Both the phones have an IPS LCD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor, 50-megapixel primary camera and 5,000 mAh battery. The Moto G53J / G53Y is an entry-level 5G phone that comes with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution, 20:9n aspect ratio and 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 Plus chipset. There is 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage options. Moto G53J / G53Y runs Android 13 based My UX user interface.

For photography, the Moto G53J / G53Y has a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel macro camera on the rear panel. And there is an 8 megapixel camera in front of the phone. For security, the Moto G53J / G53Y offers a side-facing fingerprint scanner as well as a face unlock feature. For power backup, both phones are powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. For audio, the device includes dual stereo speakers.

The price of the Moto G53y has not been officially announced. However, it is expected to come in three color options, which are Ink Black, Arctic Silver and Pale Pink. Y! The sale of the phone will start from June 29 through Mobile (Y! Mobile). However, Motorola is yet to confirm whether it will launch these handsets in the Indian market.
