Motorola yesterday took the wraps off its new Moto X70 Air smartphone ahead of its October 31 launch in China. With this new ultra-slim handset, Lenovo’s sub-brand is in direct competition with companies like Apple, Honor, Samsung and Tecno. The Moto X70 Air handset is over 6mm slim. It has a Qualcomm 7 Gen 4 chipset and a 4,800 mAh battery. The Moto X70 Air will be rebranded as the Motorola Edge 70 in the global market.
Availability of Moto X70 Air
Currently Moto X70 Air is listed on Lenovo China website without price. It can be purchased in 256 GB and 512 GB storage options. The phone will be available in three attractive Pantone recognized shades – Gadget Grey, Lily Pad and Bronze Green. Moto X70 Air will be launched in China on October 31. However, the device will be unveiled in the European market as Motorola Edge 70 on November 5.
Specifications of Moto X70 Air
The Moto X70 Air device has a 6.7-inch 1.5K (1,220 x 2,712 pixels) polarized screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 4,500 nits. It is a Pantone-validated panel with SGS eye care protection. For performance, the Moto X70 Air model uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. It will be available with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The Moto X70 Air handset is claimed to have a 3D vapor chamber for thermal management and an Adreno GPU for handling graphics-intensive tasks. It will run on Android 16 operating system.
For photography, the Moto X70 Air comes with a triple rear camera setup, housing a 50-megapixel primary camera, a Samsung sensor and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. A 50-megapixel front camera will be available on the front of the phone for selfies and video calls.
Motorola said that the device has a fingerprint sensor for security. For power backup, it packs a 4,800mAh battery that supports 68W wired and 15W wireless charging. Moto X70 Air measures 159.87 x 74.28 x 5.99 mm and weighs 159 grams. And it has IP68 + IP69 dust and water resistant rating.
