Honor Magic 8 and Honor Magic 8 Pro launched with 200-megapixel camera, powerful Snapdragon processor

Honor Magic 8 series launched today as expected. There are two models in this lineup – Honor Magic 8 and Honor Magic 8 Pro. The new models will be available in four attractive color options. They offer a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of built-in storage. Honor Magic 8 series phones also have triple rear cameras. The Honor Magic 8 Pro model comes with a 7,200 mAh battery and the standard Magic 8 model comes with a 7,000 mAh battery. Let’s know their price and specifications.

Honor Magic 8 and Honor Magic 8 Pro Price and Availability

The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model of Honor Magic 8 is priced at 4,499 Yuan (around Rs. 55,000). Its higher 12GB RAM + 512GB storage, 16GB RAM + 512GB storage, and 16GB RAM + 1TB storage variants are priced at 4,799 Yuan (approx. Rs. 59,100), 4,999 Yuan (approx. Rs. 61,600) and 5,499 Yuan (approx. Rs. 67,800), respectively. It is available in Velvet Black, Snow White, Sunrise Gold and Azure Glaze (translated from Chinese) color options.

Again, the price of Honor Magic 8 Pro with 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage is 5,699 Yuan (about 70,200 Taka). And the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage, 16GB RAM + 512GB storage and 16GB RAM + 1TB storage models are available at 5,999 Yuan (approx. Rs. 73,900), 6,199 Yuan (approx. Rs. 76,400) and 6,699 Yuan (approx. Rs. 83,000). It is available in Velvet Black, Snow White, Azure Glaze and Sunrise Gold Sand color shades.

Specifications and features of Honor Magic 8 Pro

The Honor Magic 8 Pro smartphone features a 6.71-inch 1.5K (1,256×2,808) LTPO OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a brightness of up to 6,000 nits. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor for performance, coupled with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of built-in storage. The device runs on Android 16 based MagicOS 10 custom skin.

For photography, the Honor Magic 8 Pro handset features a triple rear camera unit, which includes a 50-megapixel 1/1.3-inch primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 200-megapixel 1/1.4-inch telephoto camera with f/2.6 aperture, 3.7x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. The device features the AIMAGE Honor Nox engine and is claimed to offer CIPA 5.5 image stabilization.

For selfies and video calling, the Honor Magic 8 Pro comes with a 50-megapixel front-facing camera. It also has a 3D depth sensor. Honor says the handset will have IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. For power backup, the Honor Magic 8 Pro is powered by a 7,200mAh battery, which supports 100W wired and 80W wireless fast charging. For security, it also includes an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

Honor Magic 8 phone specifications and features

The Honor Magic 8 model has the same SIM, software, selfie camera, IP rating and chipset as the Honor Magic 8 Pro device. The front of the phone will feature a 6.58-inch full-HD+ (1,256×2,760 pixels) display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It supports a maximum HDR peak brightness of 6,000 nits.

For photography, the Honor Magic 8 model will also get a triple camera unit, housing a 50-megapixel 1/1.56-inch primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 64-megapixel Super Night God telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. And in front of the phone there is a 50 megapixel wide-angle front camera.

The Honor Magic 8 handset is powered by a 7,000mAh battery with 90W wired and 80W wireless fast charging support.
