Motorola today finally unveiled their next generation Motorola Razr 50 series of foldable phones. These include the Motorola Razr 50 and Motorola Razr 50 Ultra. These are successors to last year's Motorola Razr 40 and Motorola Razr 40 Ultra phones respectively. The newly unveiled handsets offer several upgrades over their predecessors. Notably, the standard model comes with a larger secondary screen. Let's take a detailed look at the Motorola Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra phones with all the specifications, features and prices.

Motorola Razr 50 series specifications and features

Motorola Razr 50 and Motorola Razr 50 Ultra are clamshell foldable phones. Both come with a 6.9-inch FlexView P-OLED (POLED) display, which supports FullHD+ resolution and Dolby Vision. The standard model offers a 120 Hz refresh rate and 2,600 nits of peak brightness. On the other hand, the Ultra model has an LTPO refresh rate of 165 Hz and a maximum brightness of over 3,000 nits.

The secondary screen on the rear panel of the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra phone has a polarized panel with a 165Hz LTPO refresh rate, a resolution of 1,080 pixels and HDR10+ support. The Ultra model has a 4-inch cover display, the largest of any existing flip phone. On the other hand, the standard Motorola Razr 50 phone has a 3.6-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate instead of a smaller 1.5-inch screen. The secondary display of both devices is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. It can be used for various tasks including watching videos and navigation.

For performance, the Razr 50 uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X processor, while the Razr 50 Ultra model is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Both phones will come with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra is powered by a 4,000mAh battery with 44W wired and 15W wireless charging support. And the standard model comes with a 4,200mAh cell with 33W wired and 15W wireless charging support. Other features of Motorola Razr 50 series include Android 14 operating system, 5G connectivity, dual-band WiFi, USB-C port.

The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variants of the Motorola Razr 50 are priced at 3,699 Yuan (approx. Rs. 42,500) and 3,999 Yuan (approx. Rs. 45,950) respectively. It comes with a leather texture back panel in steel wool, pumice stone and arabesque color shades.

On the other hand, the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage models of the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra handset are priced at 5,699 Yuan (approx. Rs. 65,500) and 6,199 Yuan (approx. Rs. 71,200) respectively. . It is available in Dill, Navy Blazer and Peach Fuzz colours. However, when the Motorola Razr 50 series will hit the Indian market, it is yet to be announced.
