iQOO Z9x 5G: New iQOO phone coming to India with 50MP camera, 24GB RAM

iQOO Z9x 5G is going to debut in India very soon. While the arrival of the device in the country is confirmed, no specific launch date was known. But today iQOO released the first teaser image for their upcoming Z-series smartphone. According to the teaser, the handset will be launched in India on May 16. It is also confirmed that the iQOO Z9x smartphone will be sold through e-commerce platform Amazon upon its arrival.

Online shopping portal Amazon has created a dedicated microsite for the iCoa Z9X 5G phone. In the teaser shared on this microsite, the square camera module is seen on the back panel of the upcoming handset. Apart from this, nothing else has been revealed about its features or other design details.

But as per earlier reports, the iQOO Z9x 5G will be one of the most affordable handsets to come to India under the Z-series. A few days ago, a support page of this phone went live on the website of the Indian branch of ICO. While the upcoming model is hinted to be inspired by the existing Vivo T3x 5G phone.

Note that the iQOO Z9x 5G phone has already made its debut in China on April 25th. It is not yet clear whether the Indian version of the device will offer similar features to the Chinese variant. But in the teaser image, the upcoming iQOO Z9x 5G phone in India has seen a similar back design to the Chinese variant. As a result, it is likely that all the features of the original model will be present in the Indian version of the handset.

The iCo Z9X 5G phone features a TUV Rheinland-certified 6.72-inch Full HD Plus (2408×1080 pixels) stripped-down LCD display, which supports 120 Hz refresh rate, 1400:1 contrast ratio and 1000 nits peak brightness. The 8-megapixel selfie camera (aperture: f/2.05) is located on the top of the touchscreen. Again, the back panel has a dual rear camera setup with LED flash. These cameras are – 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and 2-megapixel depth/blur lens. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner is embedded in the power button of this ICO brand handset for security.

The iQOO Z9x 5G smartphone uses a 4nm processing node based Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor and Adrenaline 710 GPU. It offers 12 GB of RAM and a maximum of 256 GB of storage. Additionally, it also supports 12 GB extended RAM feature. Android 14 based Origin OS 4 custom skin is pre-loaded as operating system. The iQOO Z9x phone has a 6,000mAh capacity battery with 44W FlashCharge fast charging support. It is dust and water resistant as it is IP64-certified. The phone measures 165.70x76x7.99 mm and weighs 199 grams.

The video shows the double cab body style, rugged looking front grille, and large wheeled tires for off-road use. The production version of the Mahindra Scorpio N pick-up truck is expected to hit the market in 2025. It is likely to come in both single and double cab body styles. It has petrol and diesel engine options as powertrain. Again the car can be chosen with two transmissions – manual and automatic. Mahindra will offer its pick-up truck in both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions. However, whether the upcoming model will replace the Scorpio pick-up or be sold as a standalone model is not yet clear.
