Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will have a special hover mode
A Chinese tipster has claimed that the upcoming Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 foldable phone will debut with the MIUI Fold 14.1 software skin. It is a customized user interface of MIUI 14 designed to seamlessly adapt to the unique capabilities of the foldable device. This latest version will offer greater compatibility with various applications. Notably, it will feature a new hover mode, which is expected to improve the user experience.
Notably, earlier this month, well-known tipster Kasper Skrzypek shared some information about the new hover mode of an upcoming foldable phone, which is now believed to be the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3. These innovative features allow users to use gestures on the bottom half of the screen. Additionally, the tipster revealed that it will enable pause/play functionality via double-tapping, sliding gestures will allow zooming, and users will be able to easily adjust brightness and volume.
Xiaomi’s Hover Mode, similar to Samsung’s “Flex Mode”, is a very handy feature for movie lovers and media enthusiasts. It allows easy control over content with a 21:9 aspect ratio and offers seamless navigation for movies, songs and videos.
Notably, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 phone is expected to bring significant upgrades over its predecessor, the MIX Fold 2. It is said to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (overclocked version) processor clocked at 3.36 GHz, an under-display camera inside the foldable screen, a periscope zoom camera with 5x optical zoom support, wireless charging, a waterdrop hinge and an IP rating.
