Petrol Pump Fraud: Oil is stolen at the petrol pump by these 3 tricks, if you know it, don’t cheat in life

There are many debates whether the advancement of science is a blessing or a curse in our life. Everything is digital today at the ultimate stage of technology. India has gradually entered the digital world thanks to the Modi government’s “Digital India” programme. However, various networked activities have increased along with the facilities. Bank loan fraud, debit card or credit card fraud, theft of Aadhaar card information is another very common fraud at petrol pumps. Common man’s hard-earned money is virtually wasted at the hands of some unscrupulous petrol pump dealers. Keep these few things in mind to avoid this fraud at petrol pumps.

Short fueling

In simple Bengali, paying a small amount of oil compared to the amount you paid. Generally we want to fill a certain amount of petrol or diesel at the fueling station. For example, a person appears at a petrol pump to fill up Rs 1,000 worth of petrol. It was seen that oil up to Tk 200 was already filled in that machine. Taking advantage of your other-mindedness, after 200 taka, the remaining 800 taka petrol was filled in the car. You have been a victim of fraud of Rs. 200 without your knowledge. Always make sure the meter reads “zero” before filling with oil.

Fuel density

The concentration of petrol diesel must be within the limits set by the government. You will get less fuel than you would otherwise spend. Check the fuel density display on the fueling machine to confirm this. Also, if the speed of the flowing fuel is much higher than normal time, its density should be assumed to be low. At such a moment you are a victim of fraud.

Use of e-chip

Unscrupulous traders attach an electric chip to fuel-in machines to cheat ordinary buyers. It has the ability to flow up to 3 percent less fuel. In that case, if you fill fuel of 1000 rupees, you will actually get fuel of 970 rupees. The interesting thing is that you will see only 1,000 rupees on the display of the machine. Even extracting the transaction slip will serve wrong information.

But what should be done at the petrol pump?

First try to fill up with oil from the big petrol pumps located in the city. All these pumps maintain a generally transparent image. So chances of cheating are less. However, if you witness such dishonest work at a petrol pump, you must bring the matter to the notice of that particular fuel company. Every oil company has facility to register complaints on its own website. This can be easily done online.
