Huawei launched a great phone with 60MP front camera, 66W charging support

The Huawei Nova 12 series has ended the wait and launched in Malaysia. There are a total of three models in this lineup – Huawei Nova 12s, Huawei Nova 12 SE and Huawei Nova 12i. Note that these phones were launched in Mexico a few days ago. The new phones offer impressive designs, Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, OLED/LCD displays, impressive cameras and large batteries. Let’s take a look at the Huawei Nova 12 series price in Malaysia.

Huawei Nova 12 Series: Design, Specifications

Design is the most notable aspect of these three models. The Nova 12 series comes in the mid-range, though offers a premium design. The back of the Huawei Nova 12S features a fancy fashion-inspired print texture with an oval-shaped camera module. The Nova 12 SE has two circular modules for the triple camera, while the Nova 12i has a large circular camera island for the image sensors.

As for the screen, both the Nova 12S and Nova 12 SE come with OLED displays. The Nova 12S has a 6.7-inch panel, which offers up to 120 Hz refresh rate, 300 Hz touch sampling rate, FullHD+ resolution and 1.07 billion colors. Whereas, the Nova 12 SE has a 6.67-inch screen with 90 Hz refresh rate, 270 Hz touch sampling rate, FullHD+ resolution and 1.07 billion colors. And, the Huawei Nova 12i model comes with a 6.7-inch LCD panel, which offers 30, 60 and 90 Hz adaptive refresh rates, 270 Hz touch sampling rate and FullHD+ resolution.

All models of Huawei Nova 12 series are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The Huawei Nova 12s is powered by the Snapdragon 778G processor, which is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of in-built storage. It comes with a 4,500mAh battery, which supports 66W wired fast charging. With this charging technology, the Nova 12s phone can be charged up to 62 percent in just 15 minutes.

For photography, the Huawei Nova 12s has a 50-megapixel primary camera, which is accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens and laser focus sensor. And in front of the phone is a 60 megapixel selfie camera. Other notable features of the phone include stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint scanner, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, Near Field Communication (NFC) support. The device is 6.88 mm slim and weighs only 168 grams.

On the other hand, both the Huawei Nova 12 SE and Nova 12i are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of in-built storage. The SE variant is powered by a powerful 4,500mAh battery, which supports 66W fast charging. The other model has a larger 5,000mAh battery, which supports 40W wired fast charging.

In terms of cameras, the Huawei Nova 12 SE has a triple camera setup, consisting of a 108-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. And on the front there is a 32 megapixel selfie camera. On the other hand, the Nova 12i has a dual rear camera setup with a 108-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. And in front of the phone is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Both the devices support WiFi 5, NFC and Bluetooth 5.0.

Huawei Nova 12 Series Price and Availability

The Huawei Nova 12s is the most expensive model of the three and is priced at 1,999 Malaysian Ringgit (roughly Rs. 35,210), while the Huawei Nova 12 SE and Nova 12i are priced at 1,499 Malaysian Ringgit (roughly Rs. 26,400) and 1,299 Malaysian Ringgit (roughly Rs. 22,900) respectively. Huawei has stopped bringing new phones to India, so the Huawei Nova 12 series is unlikely to arrive in the country.
