Finland-based smartphone maker, HMD has been making Nokia brand smartphones for a long time. But now the company has started launching mobile phones with its own branding. They are said to be working on several new smartphones right now. These include HMD Atlas and HMD Skyline, whose design and key features were recently leaked And now a source has revealed important information about another new handset called HMD Ridge. HMD Ridge phone design and key features leaked
The design and key specifications of the HMD Ridge phone have been shared by an X (formerly Twitter) account named HMD Mim's. Similar to the HMD Atlas, the handset is said to have a rectangular camera island-like design on the back, which is made up of two sensors and an LED flash unit. However, the screen of the HMD Ridge will have thicker bezels than the Atlas. Above the display will be a centered punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The rear panel of the smartphone will feature a geometric design and will be available in Pink color option.
Now let's talk about the specifications. The HMD Ridge phone will come with a 6.4-inch display, which is said to support FullHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. It will be protected by Gorilla Glass 3. For photography, the device will house a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
In terms of performance, the HMD Ridge phone is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ processor capable of 5G connectivity. It will be available in 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM variants and 128GB/256GB storage options. For power backup, the HMD Ridge phone is expected to come with a 5,000 mAh battery.
It is also believed that the HMD Ridge phone will be a toned-down version of the HMD Atlas phone. The HMD brand is also looking forward to the launch of two more devices, HMD Waylay and HMD Xenon, in addition to their Skyline, Atlas and Ridge models. The HMD Skyline is rumored to be a mid-range 5G handset, while the HMD Atlas will be a US-exclusive device.
