Xiaomi’s big announcement, Rs 44,999 smartphone free if this problem occurs on the phone!

A few days ago it was known that Xiaomi has extended the warranty of some of its smartphones in India. However, despite being active on Twitter, nothing has been officially announced by the company on the social media platform. Now, however, Xiaomi India has officially sealed the news. In addition to extending the warranty on select smartphone models in India, the company has also offered users the option to upgrade to the flagship model. Let’s know more about Xiaomi’s warranty extension in this country.

Redmi Note 10 Pro and Note 10 Pro Max phone warranty extended

Xiaomi yesterday announced the warranty extension of two of its smartphone models in India. Both the models belong to the Redmi Note 10 series. The models are named Redmi Note 10 Pro and Note 10 Pro Max. The company has extended the warranty of both the devices by an additional year in India. The name of Poco X3 Pro has also been added to that list.

In this context, Xiaomi said that they have taken this step to reassure customers about the quality of the brand. The company said that some reports have surfaced, where the quality standards of the devices have fallen. It is believed that Xiaomi is probably talking about the motherboard or camera dead issue, which some users have faced even after updating their phones. This is why motherboard related issues are covered in the warranty extension.

Also, for Redmi Note 10 Pro and Note 10 Pro Max, the warranty will cover issues like system user interface not responding and front camera not working. However, it is not clear whether this extended warranty will apply to other issues faced by users.

Special upgrade option for Xiaomi 11 Ultra users

Along with the warranty extension, Xiaomi has also announced an upgrade option for its first flagship device Xiaomi 11 Ultra in India. Customers facing WiFi connectivity issues on Mi 11 Ultra can exchange their device for free with Xiaomi 12 Pro worth Rs 44,499. Moreover, if they want to get their hands on the latest flagship, the Xiaomi 13 Pro, they will only have to spend Rs 30,000 more.

How to get extended warranty on Xiaomi devices?

According to Xiaomi India, customers don’t have to do much to get the extended warranty on their device. If a user’s Redmi Note 10 or Note 10 Pro Max handset falls within the mentioned criteria, they will have to take the device to any authorized Xiaomi service center in India. Service center experts will observe and repair it at no extra cost.
