New privacy watermark feature will be added for OnePlus smartphones under Oxygen OS 15 version
Tech giant Google recently released the first beta version of its latest operating system Android 15. And being a part of the 'Android Partner Program', the OnePlus brand has got the opportunity to work on custom skins based on this upcoming operating system. The company recently rolled out the Android 15 beta preview update for its latest flagship handset OnePlus 12. Due to which we got an idea of what features will be added in Oxygen OS 15 custom user interface.
The new Oxygen OS 15 custom skin comes with several new features. One of which is a new privacy-focused feature called 'Privacy Watermark'. A person named 1NormalUsername claims that he found mention of this feature in a code snippet of the Settings app. This OnePlus fan also said that it will be accessible through the OnePlus Photos app in the future.
According to reports, the privacy watermark feature will allow users to add watermarks to images before sharing them. Note that OnePlus is already offering the watermark option under the menu section Currently – Hasselblad watermark or other watermarks can be added with it. But its functionality will be exceptional as privacy will be provided with the upcoming watermark feature. However, it is still not clear to us how adding a watermark can prevent the misuse of documents or photos.
Note that to enable the 'Privacy Watermark' feature, OnePlus 12 users need to go to the 'Photos app' after installing the beta preview update. Then you will find 'Watermark' option under 'Edit' option. Watermark can be added to photos from here. (Photos app > Edit > Watermark)
Along with the privacy watermark, another possible feature of Oxygen OS 15 has also been leaked with a code string image. Which clearly indicates, the 'Pixelate' feature of OnePlus devices may get an upgrade.
OnePlus phones currently running OxygenOS 14 custom ROM have a special mode to pixelate any part of the image. But with Oxygen OS 15, the new AutoPixelate 2.0 feature will be introduced. As the name suggests, the feature will automatically pixelate the user's personal information.
