From the processor to the camera, the Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro will rock, launching soon in India

Last month, Oppo launched the Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro smartphones in the Chinese market. The brand recently confirmed that both the phones will launch globally on Amazon. However, it is heard that the global variants will have different features compared to their Chinese counterparts. A tipster recently revealed the key specifications of the 4G and 5G variants of the Oppo Reno 12F phone. He is the one who has now again leaked the information regarding the chipset and camera available in the global version of Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro smartphones. Let's take a look at them.

The global models of the Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro phones are going to be different from the Chinese versions

First of all, the Chinese versions of Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro phones include MediaTek Dimension 8250 and Dimension 9200 Plus Star Speed Edition chipsets respectively.

The Oppo Reno 12 launched in China features a triple rear camera unit with a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel IMX355 ultrawide lens and a 50-megapixel Samsung ZN5 2x telephoto lens. On the other hand, the Oppo Reno 12 Pro model features a triple camera system with an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 main sensor, an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultrawide lens and a 50-megapixel Samsung ZN5 telephoto sensor with 2x zoom.

According to tipster Chun, the Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro will launch globally with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy chipset. The standard Reno 12 global version of the phone will have a 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 3-megapixel triple camera setup on the back. This indicates that the phone will not have a telephoto camera. On the other hand, the tipster has revealed that the global model of the Oppo Reno 12 Pro phone will have a 50-megapixel LYT-600 primary camera, which is essentially a rebranded Sony IMX882 sensor.

Please note that the last generation Oppo Reno 11 and Oppo Reno 11 Pro phones made their debut in the global market earlier this year. They are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7050 and Dimensity 8200 chipsets respectively While the Oppo Reno 12 series is rumored to feature the new Dimensity 7300 chipset, it is not clear whether the brand will eventually launch the phones with this chipset instead of the D8200, or offer something better.

Also, the global model of the Oppo Reno 11 phone has a 32-megapixel telephoto camera in the camera setup. However, new reports have now indicated that its successor model will not have a telephoto camera, which sounds a bit absurd. So, one has to wait for the official announcement of the company to know the truth of the leaked information.
