Redmi is all set to launch its upcoming Redmi K90 series of smartphones in China today (October 23). According to the brand, this series of devices will offer a premium experience. The handsets will come with the same display and primary camera as the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max model. Moreover, this will be the company’s first Redmi phone series to feature a Periscope telephoto camera. Now again, the brand has confirmed in a new teaser that the Redmi K90 Pro Max will be the biggest battery-packed Redmi phone yet. Let’s get into this in detail.
Battery size and charging capacity of Redmi K90 Pro Max came forward
The official poster confirms that the Redmi K90 Pro Max device will have a massive 7,560 mAh battery. It will be the biggest battery powered Redmi phone yet. So far this title was held by the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro model, which offers a 7,550 mAh battery. It is also known that the Redmi K90 Pro Max phone will support 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. It will offer 100W PPS charging protocol and 22.5W reverse wireless charging speed.
Other features
As for other specifications, the Redmi K90 Pro Max will have a 6.9-inch OLED screen, offering 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It will run on Android 16 based HyperOS 3.0 custom skin.
Redmi K90 Pro Max device will use Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset for performance. And D2 chip will be available for graphics. For photography, its rear camera setup will feature a 50-megapixel OmniVision Light Fusion 950 primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) support, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and OIS, and an ultra-wide camera. Nothing has been revealed about the front camera though.
Recent teasers have confirmed that the Redmi K90 Pro Max handset will feature three speakers, including a Bose-powered unit at the rear. The handset will come with IP68/69-rated dust and water resistant rated chassis.
It is rumored that the Redmi K90 Pro Max will be rebranded as Poco F8 Ultra in the global market. The Redmi K90 phone is likely to feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, but the company is yet to confirm any information about the device. Probably, it will be launched as Poco F8 Pro in the global market.
