Vivo launched its latest flagship smartphone series X90 in the Indian market last April. And now we have learned that the company has already started working on the successor of the said lineup. In this case, the upcoming series will probably debut as Vivo X100. Today, the design renders of the most premium and top-end model of the series, Vivo X100 Pro+, have surfaced courtesy of a popular tipster. According to these renders, the device will come with a camera setup co-engineered by Zeiss and a curved display panel.
Vivo X100 Pro+ smartphone design renders leaked online
A tipster named Fixed Focus Digital has shared a design render of the Vivo X100 Pro+ smartphone on Chinese microblogging site Weibo. In the leaked images, the upcoming model is seen in Black color variant. In the re-released renders, the front and back panels of the Vivo X100-series phones are also very clearly visible. The Vivo branding is visible at the bottom of its rear panel. Zeiss branding will also be noticed in the camera module above.
Meanwhile, the Vivo X100 Pro+ phone’s camera module is surrounded by a raised square island, which appears to be made of glass material. The LED flash light is located in the upper right corner. Again four rear camera sensors are seen inside the circular camera module. Of which, the camera in the lower right corner is essentially a periscope telephoto sensor. Incidentally, Digital Chat Station claimed in one of its latest reports that this upcoming handset under the Vivo branding could feature a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens.
For the sake of comparison, the predecessor Vivo X90 Pro+ smartphone also came with Zeiss branding camera setup. It has a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra model has a 10-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor. So if the upcoming Vivo X100 Pro+ model does indeed come with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto shooter, it will have the power to give the two ‘camera focused’ devices mentioned post-launch a tough fight.
Anyway let’s get back to the topic. The upcoming Vivo X100 Pro+ smartphone will feature a punch-hole style display on the front. The device will come with a curved display panel, which will offer an almost bezel-less look.
Vivo X100 Series Specifications (Probable)
Earlier published reports have shared various information regarding the specifications and launch time of the device belonging to the Vivo X100 series. In this regard, it is known that a total of three devices will debut under the mentioned lineup, namely – Vivo X100 (Vivo X100), Vivo X100 Pro (Vivo X100 Pro) and top-end Vivo X100 Pro+ (Vivo X100 Pro+). The first two models will be launched with MediaTek’s Dimension 9300 processor based on 4nm processing node. And Vivo X100 Pro+ phone will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
Like the Vivo X100 Pro+, the X100 Pro phone is also said to feature a 1-inch primary rear camera. In this case, the optical zoom performance of the periscope telephoto sensor of the successor will be more improved than its predecessor. Furthermore, the device is also claimed to come with a glass body and support 100W fast charging technology.
It is reported that Vivo X100 series will probably be launched in the fourth quarter of this year. However, Vivo is planning to launch the top-end model X100 Pro+ in the first half of 2024.
