DSLR will give ace! Nubia brings a phone that looks like a camera for photography

Nubia launched the Nubia Z60 Ultra last December with much fanfare. A month later, the Year of the Dragon Limited Edition of the flagship phone hit the market. And now, Nubia Z60 Ultra Photographer Edition has been launched to shake the market. As per the name, the phone has been designed in the style of a retro camera. Barring some extra features, the phone has the same specifications as the standard model. Aimed at photography enthusiasts, the phone features a dynamic fold-line segmented camera module, Neovision AI imaging and a 50 triple camera setup.

Nubia Z60 Ultra Photographer Edition: Price and Specifications

There are a few differences between the Photographer Edition and the standard variant of the Nubia Z60 Ultra, such as the newly launched special edition featuring a dynamic fold-line segmented camera module, similar to the look of the original vintage camera. The lower half of the back panel features leather-texture with three-dimensional etching.

The Nubia Z60 Ultra Photographer Edition comes with NeoVision AI Imaging, which adopts large artificial intelligence (AI) models and computational photography. This will help in taking precise and exceptional photos. There is also AI-based ‘Smart Erase’ to remove any unwanted objects from images. The smartphone also features AI two-way real-time interpretation on calls and face-to-face conversations. It is similar to the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and aims to make cross-language communication easy and efficient.

But apart from these, the rest of the specifications of the Nubia Z60 Ultra Photographer Edition are the same as the standard model. Its camera setup includes two 50-megapixel sensors with 18mm and 35mm focal lengths and a 64-megapixel periscope lens with 85mm focal length. All three sensors support optical image stabilization (OIS) and are capable of recording 4K video at 120 frames per second (fps). On the front of the phone, there is a 12-megapixel under-display camera with AI deep-sensing engine.

Besides, the Nubia Z60 Ultra Photographer Edition model is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which is paired with 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB UFS 4 storage. The device features a 6.9-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. For power backup, there is a large 6,000mAh battery with 80W wired charging support. The smartphone offers IP68-certified chassis for water and dust resistance. The Nubia Z60 Ultra Photographer Edition has been priced at 4,299 Yuan (roughly Rs. 49,610) in China. But whether it will come to the global market, nothing is known for sure yet.
