In 2021, Xiaomi first launched its Civi-branded smartphone in China. Since then multiple handsets have debuted under this series. Although the Civi lineup is limited to the Chinese market, Xiaomi used to launch the Civi series of phones under different names in different countries around the world. But now it is known that the Civi 4 Pro will not be available in the global market. The phone is going to be launched in the Chinese market today (March 21). But before that this unexpected news disappointed many Xiaomi fans, especially those who were eagerly waiting to get their hands on this interesting camera-centric phone. But in this case there is nothing to be disappointed for Indian customers, as the upcoming Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro is claimed to be sold only in the Indian market outside of China.
Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro will be available in India as well as in China
The decision to bring the Xiaomi CV4 Pro to China and India only signals a change from the company’s usual approach to the CV series. The Xiaomi CV4 Pro phone will not resemble its predecessor, the Xiaomi CV2, whose rebranded version is sold in the global market as the Xiaomi 13 Lite. It will be limited to China and India markets only.
GSMChina publication discovered this important information by examining the MI code. According to the report, the Xiaomi CV4 Pro has the internal number “N9” and codename “chenfen” and carries the model number “24053PY09C / 24053PY09I”. The letters “C” and “I” at the end of these two model numbers indicate the China and Indian variants of the phone, meaning the device will be available exclusively in these two countries.
Although, it is confirmed that Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro will enter the market in this country, but still some information remains unknown. As such, it is still unclear as to what name it will be launched in India and some of its features may also differ. So all eyes are on today’s launch event, where all the information about Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro will be revealed.
