It has been reported that it will be launched in the Indian market by next March or April. The bike made its debut at the Milan Motorcycle Show (EICMA) in Italy last year. It will replace the Ninja 400 in the market.
Kawasaki Ninja 500 coming to India in March-April
The Kawasaki Ninja 500 is the focus of discussion as it will be powered by a new 451 cc, parallel twin engine. Which will produce a maximum power of 45.4 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 42.6 mm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine will be mated to a six-speed gearbox. There will also be a slip and assist clutch.
Talking about the design, the Ninja 500 sports an aggressive look. Traditional telescope front forks with steel trellis frame and rear monoshock suspension are offered. The 17-inch wheels are shod with Dunlop Sportmax tyres. Two-wheel disc brakes with dual-channel ABS are present to handle the braking duties.
Among the notable features, the Kawasaki Ninja 500 includes all LED lighting and a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth. While the standard version comes with an LCD display, the SE variant has a TFT display. The price of the motorcycle in this country can be charged between 5.2 lakh to 5.4 lakh rupees. The bike can be imported from abroad and sold in this country. But if parts are sold across India, the price is expected to come down a bit.
