The once popular moped Luna has recently returned to India in an electric avatar after a two-decade wait. Ever since the launch of the battery-powered version, many buyers have started showing enthusiasm for the E-Luna. As mentioned, the delivery of this electric moped started from the end of February. The matter has been confirmed by Kinetic Group Chairperson Sulja Firodia Motwani.
Delivery of Kinetic E-Luna has started
Kinetic has already started delivery of E-Luna in various cities across the country including Tirupati, Lucknow, Nagpur, Delhi, Bilaspur, Pune and Bhubaneswar. This electric moped was launched in the Indian market on February 7. But this year, the booking starts from January 26, the Republic Day.
The Kinetic E-Luna comes in two variants – X1 and X2. They are priced at Rs 69,000 and Rs 74,990 (ex-showroom) respectively. This electric moped can be selected in total five color options. Namely – Ocean Blue, Mulberry Red, Pearl Yellow, Sparkling Green and Night Star Black. The maximum weight carrying capacity of the model is 150 kg.
Based on a steel chassis, the Electric Luna features telescopic front forks and twin shock rear absorbers. There are drum brakes on both the front and rear sides to perform the braking duties. This moped will run on a 1.2 kW hub motor. Its output is 22 nm. With a top speed of 50 km per hour, the model will get a range of 110 km from the 2 kWh battery pack.
