However, the export duty on telecom components has been increased by 5 percent. In such a situation the cost of telecom related services may increase.
The finance minister said in the budget that the import duty of printed circuit board has been increased by 5 percent for the development of the domestic telecom industry. Meanwhile, the finance minister has proposed to completely exempt 25 minerals like lithium, copper, cobalt, which are important for sectors like nuclear power, renewable energy, aerospace, defence, telecom and hi-tech electronics. Customs duty will also be levied on them.
