BSNL i.e. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited is currently one of the largest Fiber Internet Service Providers (ISPs) companies in India. The government telco offers broadband plans at different prices. And if you are using the company’s broadband services, then there is a new update for you. In fact, BSNL has announced that it is going to withdraw its Rs 329 entry-level broadband plan from various states by July 30, 2023. They also said that they have taken this decision to bridge the digital divide across the country.
Although this could be BSNL’s marketing strategy. This is because state-run telcos often promise to phase out a plan on a certain date, but don’t actually do so. However, the scheme has already been removed from Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Andhra Pradesh. Let’s see what benefits are available in BSNL’s Rs 329 plan.

BSNL offers 20 Mbps speed and 1000 GB data in its Rs 329 plan. After using 1000 GB FUP (Fair Uses Policy) data, user’s internet speed drops to 4 Mbps. In addition, users also get a free landline connection with unlimited calling in this plan.
Note that the telephone required for landline connection has to be purchased separately by the customer. And this plan is generally not available for customers in urban areas of the state It is available only to low income customers in rural areas or small towns.
