Honor V40 5G has been launched with Dimensity 1000+ SoC & 66W fast charging in China. It is the company’s first smartphone after separating from its parent company “Huawei”. Honor V40 5G runs on Magic UI 4.0, based on Android 11 out of the box and comes in Magic Night Black, Rose Gold, and Titanium Silver colour option.

Honor V40 5G comes with a 6.72-inches OLED full-HD+ (1,236×2,676 pixels) resolution display with 300Hz touch sampling rate, 91.1% screen-to-body ratio, 800 nits of peak brightness, HDR10 support, 120Hz refresh rate, and 80-degree curved edges. Under the hood, It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset, Mali-G77 MC9 GPU and paired with up to 8GB RAM + 256GB of internal storage.
In term of the camera department, The smartphone boasts a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50-Megapixel (primary) camera with f/1.9 aperture + 8-Megapixel (Ultrawide) sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 and 120-degree field of view + 2-Megapixel (macro) sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, Honor V40 5G have a dual 16-Megapixel selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0. Other camera feature includes 4K video recording up to 60fps, Slow motion, HDR, Gyro-EIS and more.
The device packs a 4000mah battery and 66W fast charging technology, the company claims that the Honor V40 5G takes about 35 min for a full charge. Further, It also supports 50W fast wireless charging.
In terms of connectivity, The handset includes the support of 5G, 4G, Dual SIM, Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, NFC and USB Type-C port. In terms of sensors, It has an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and an optical under-display fingerprint sensor.
Honor V40 5G launched – Price & Availability
The base variant of Honor V40 5G carries a price tag of CNY 3,599 (around Rs. 40,600) for 8GB RAM + 128GB storage while the high-end variant of 8GB + 256GB storage is priced at CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 45,100). The smartphone will go on sale in China today. However, The company has not revealed any information related to its international availability.
